Sydney Sweeney Is a Spring Vixen at the Met Gala

Sydney Sweeney—ever the belle of the ball—has arrived at the 2024 Met Gala.

The Anyone but You star turned heads as she glided up the carpeted steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight in a powder-blue Cinderella-esque gown with sheer romantic sleeves and a big skirt, by Miu Miu. The piece was embellished with black twigs and turquoise flower appliqués all over.

Sweeney added to the edgy springtime look with a set of black leather opera gloves—and the cherry on top, her sleek black bob.

She layered on some glimmer with striking diamond jewelry from De Beers: Sleeper drop earrings (for Sleeping Beauty—get it?) and a matching Assana necklace. The diamonds perfectly complemented her shimmery makeup look, which included silver glitter smeared all over her face and neck. She capped off the glam with a jet-black cat-eye liner.

The actor looked like a springtime vixen, perfectly in tune with the theme of the night: “The Garden of Time,” based on the art museum’s Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

Since making it big on HBO’s Euphoria, Sweeney has become a regular presence on the red carpet. At last year’s Met Gala, she showed out in another gorgeous design by Miu Miu—a ruched blush dress embellished with clear jewels and large silver sequins all over, including at the straps. The curve-hugging soft-pink gown had a breezy skirt and a large black bow at the bottom. Sweeney topped off the look with a matching black bow to adorn her hair, plus diamond rings and earrings by Bucherer Fine Jewellery, and even a jewel-encrusted pointy manicure.

And the year prior, the star looked radiant in an ivory Tory Burch gown with a strapless corset bodice, a peplum detail, and a voluminous skirt. She capped off the look with coordinating Aquazzura heels and Boucheron jewelry.
