The 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards left us with a lot to think about: an iconic The Devil Wears Prada reunion, Barbra Streisand’s tearjerking acceptance speech for the Life Achievement award, and another sweep of the categories for The Bear. But one thing in particular has stayed at the very front of our minds: Selena Gomez’s custom Atelier Versace gown.
If like us, you couldn’t get enough of the lovely white ballerina dress Gomez wore in the music video for her new single “Love On,” you’ll be delighted to know she stunned in an all-white look again on Saturday night. Upon arriving at Los Angeles’s Shrine Auditorium, she turned heads in a sparkly white dress that is every bride’s dream. The piece featured a curve-hugging construction that highlighted Gomez’s hourglass figure, corset boning along the bodice, a scoop neckline with spaghetti straps adorned with the fashion house’s Medusa icon, and a trailing skirt that pooled behind her like a seashell. She paired the centerpiece, which dazzled like stars in the night sky, with matching open-toe heels and accessorized with oversize silver hoops and diamond rings, all from Messika.
For beauty, Gomez glammed up with sultry, bronzy makeup complete with a matte rusty-red lip, subtle smoky eye, black eyeliner, and a bright red manicure, and wore her rich brown hair in a voluminous, side-parted blowout. Consider our love for this look turned unequivocally on.
The “Come & Get It” songstress, alongside the rest of the Only Murders in the Building cast, was up for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. The award ultimately went to the cast of The Bear.
Gomez has been loving a monochromatic moment lately. On Friday, she traded ethereal wedding white for Parisian chic black to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Her dark ensemble consisted of a black lace mock-neck top layered over a matching spaghetti-strap camisole, all tucked into a flouncy pleated bubble skirt, which she wore over sheer black tights. She added a wide leather belt, thigh-high stiletto boots, a small leather purse—and for an extra coquette touch, a bow in her hair.
