Rihanna’s Statement Winter Accessory of Choice Is a Shaggy Fur Hat

If anyone can make a shaggy fur hat into a glamorous statement accessory, it’s Rihanna.

The singer and Fenty Beauty mogul made fur a prominent part of her latest date-night look while grabbing dinner at her favorite Los Angeles restaurant, Giorgio Baldi, with boyfriend A$AP Rocky earlier this week.

The outing saw Rihanna step out in a large hat lined with spiky dark brown fur, conspicuously coordinating with her caramel-highlighted hair, which was straightened and worn down across her shoulders. The bold hat choice also matched other parts of the singer’s outfit: a shiny gray-blue bomber jacket with a brown fur-trimmed hood and a brown furry clutch bag.

Rihanna finished off the look with baggy faded jeans, a diamond choker necklace, croc-embossed pumps with a crystal ankle strap from Amina Muaddi, and a bold red lip.

Meanwhile, Rocky opted for a casually cool outfit composed of monochrome basics. These included a tan bomber jacket, a tan and olive-green plaid button-down, khaki slacks, dark brown boots, and brown-tinted aviator sunglasses.

Rihanna later took the fur trend from the sidewalks of Los Angeles to the red carpet at a Fenty x Puma launch party on Monday night.

For the event, she wowed in a shaggy lavender fur coat layered over a quilted dark blue button-up jacket from Chanel, which featured an embroidered speckled red collar and pockets. She coordinated the look with more purple—from her glam eye shadow to her suede pair of Fenty x Puma Creeper Phatty sneakers—and finished off the ensemble with a white lace-trim top, baggy jeans, and layers of colorful jewelry.
