Rihanna Embraces Her Caribbean Roots in a Fab Look

Rihanna is embracing her roots and bringing the color at the annual Crop Over in her home country of Barbados.

On Monday night, the “Diamonds” singer made an entrance at the lively event, also known as the Grand Kadooment parade, held in St. Michael, in a fabulous ab-baring carnival look.

The colorful ensemble was composed of bronze jewels with gold metal bases that adorned and wrapped around the Grammy winner’s body like shimmery snakes, covering her bust and swirling around her legs, torso, and arms. She also wore a matching tall crown crafted from the same intricate gold metal base and bronze jewels.

But a carnival look is never truly complete without an extravagant feather number, which in this case appeared as a set of large wings in pink, yellow, and orange—each with a cascading train of fringe in the same bright shades.

Rihanna added on a caramel lip and eye to complement her fit.

It’s been a while since we last saw Rihanna at the famous carnival. The last time she attended was in 2019, when she wore a voluminous baby pink feather dress and matching silky heels encrusted with crystals. She finished the flirty look with dangly silver earrings and a pop of vibrant green eye shadow accented by crystal appliqués.

Of course, the Savage × Fenty mogul’s absence from the carnival for the past couple of years is not surprising, as the superstar welcomed son RZA in May 2022 and son Riot 15 months later with partner A$AP Rocky.
