Naomi Campbell’s Party Dress Is All About the Legs

Leave it to Naomi Campbell to be the best-dressed guest at her own party.

For the opening of her new retrospective exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, “Naomi: In Fashion,” the supermodel showed up in an incredible custom-made Boss look, styled by Law Roach.

Made of white leather, the dress featured a plunging halter neckline, which perfectly framed the diamond-encrusted Bulgari Serpenti necklace that wrapped around her décolletage. The bottom half of the look included a draping skirt with a soaring center-leg slit that grazed the top of her thighs, an opening that showed off a pair of white heeled mules underneath.

Campbell finished off her look with sunglasses with a thick white frame, a rectangular white clutch bag from Jimmy Choo, and a stack of diamond bracelets on each wrist.

For Campbell’s opening-party dress, the Boss team drew inspiration from various archival looks—but most specifically, from the brand’s first-ever womenswear show, back in 2001, which featured similar diving necklines and open-back silhouettes.

“It was a lot of fun from start to finish. Being granted access to their renowned archives felt like opening up a vault of incredible reference materials for me—vintage look books, original sketches, fabric swatches going back decades. It sparked a lot of artistic energy,” Campbell told Harper’s Bazaar UK.

Of collaborating with Roach, she added, “We worked tirelessly together, going through multiple detailed fittings, tweaking every element to ensure this look is absolutely perfect. I’m overwhelmed with excitement to finally unveil the exhibition and this showstopping gown.”
