Duchess Meghan went back to her acting roots to make a sweet, funny cameo in an ad for her favorite latte brand.
The promo video was for the brand Clevr, which makes “super-powered lattes for energy, stress, & sleep,” per its Instagram bio.
In the clip, Meghan appears as a “nerdy” Clevr employee working in the background, just going about her day in the latte company’s offices, completing tasks on the computer, packing boxes, and running errands.
At the end of the video, Meghan tries to give a “fellow employee” a fist bump and misses. At that, she breaks out into a giggle in front of the camera, making the rest of the cast laugh and ending the ad.
Meghan goes through various outfit changes in the video, but the formula stays the same: sweater, jeans, and sneakers. In the final scene, a full-body shot shows her wearing a bright blue sweater, black jeans, white sneakers, and black sunglasses.
“Damn, you’re keeping us BUSY right now! Had to call in some reinforcements 👀,” the caption to Clevr’s Instagram post of the ad reads, alluding to the Duchess of Sussex’s unexpected cameo. “💕 so grateful for the immense love and support this year—thanks for helping us keep the latte-loving dream alive, and thriving! xo.”
As readers are aware, Meghan met Prince Harry when she was acting professionally and starring in the popular show Suits. After the two announced their engagement in 2017, she decided to leave her career and leave Canada, where the series was being filmed, to live with the prince in London with his royal family. Of course, a lot has happened since then—including the Sussexes’ exit from the monarchy—but still, Meghan had maintained that acting was behind her—until now.
