Bella Hadid got sporty Thursday afternoon to celebrate her new collaboration with Adidas Originals—which, among other things, has resulted in a massive billboard with her face on it in New York City’s Times Square. In the giant image, she wears a white and black Adidas top and matching skintight hot shorts.
The supermodel shared photos on Instagram of herself looking up at her billboard with pride. For the occasion, she wore a long, vintage-inspired Adidas jersey in cherry red and white, plus a pair of blue Daisy Dukes. The retro-sporty ensemble seemed simple enough—until we noticed Hadid’s styling trick, that is. The Orebella founder tucked her long-sleeved top into the short shorts, and rather than hide it under the denim, she pulled the shirt down so the hem peeked out from under the bottoms, adding an extra layer to the look. Somehow, she pulled it off.
Hadid wrapped up the unexpected look with some classic It girl accessories: a black leather belt to cinch her shorts, black athletic shades, gold hoop earrings, and several gold rings. On her feet, she wore a pair of bright red SL 72 OG sneakers, with white stripes, which she paired with white crew socks. The model wore glowy makeup and had her chestnut hair pulled back into a snatched bun.
Hadid held a flower truck pop-up in Times Square for her big moment, and was seen passing out little bouquets of flowers wrapped in Adidas-branded paper to adoring fans as they walked by. “Lucky to still be able to have these kind of pinch me moments. @adidasoriginals ❤️🔥,” she wrote in her post caption.
