Abbott Elementary Season 3 Is on the Way

Keep the laughs coming—ABC’s runaway hit Abbott Elementary is getting a third season!

The pickup news comes after the mockumentary won Best Comedy Series at the 2023 Golden Globes, as well as took home individual wins for its star and creator, Quinta Brunson, and costar Tyler James Williams.

“This renewal is a richly deserved feather in the cap of Quinta Brunson, Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Randall Einhorn, as well as the rest of the cast and crew of ‘Abbott Elementary,'” Warner Bros. chairman and CEO Channing Dungey said about the upcoming season, per Variety. “Each week, this talented group of artists celebrates true unsung heroes—public school teachers. I look forward to many more magnificent episodes of this brilliant, authentic and just plain funny series.”

The show, which follows the professional and personal lives of the staff of an underfunded Philadelphia elementary school, has won the hearts of viewers since its 2021 premiere. For Harper’s BAZAAR‘s February issue, Brunson and costar Sheryl Lee Ralph reflect on that success.

“I get to come to a show every day that I genuinely love. From the story phase, to the outline phase, to the table reads, to us actually filming it, to the very moment that it’s on its last edit, I’m constantly inspired,” Brunson tells BAZAAR. “That’s a rare feeling as a creator, for your own work to inspire you, but it’s because I’m working with so many amazing people.”

Ahead is everything we know so far about Season 3 of Abbott Elementary.
